Dr Patrick McGreevy visited London for his third “Essential for Living” workshop in the UK in November, hosted by Talking Autism.

It was a huge success, particularly as so many of the attendees came from non-ABA settings (including the NHS and a number of non-ABA schools). Dr McGreevy delivered a powerful and compelling workshop, which emphasised the importance of teaching functional skills to individuals with developmental delays, as well as autism, that allows greater independence and participation in the community. All of this contributes to a happy and fulfilled life.
Dr McGreevy speaks with compassion. He explained how, when relevant, he is not afraid to say to parents to “take your expectations and let them go”.
